Durability
To discover how durable our digital labels are we
tested to BS5609 standards by submerging printed
products in the North Sea for 3 months.The results
were outstanding with little or no fading at all.

Digital label printing at FineCal is a way of directly
transferring a label image from a desktop computer to
a printing press, without the normal technical steps of
pre-press and printing plates. Although the cost per
image is normally more expensive than conventional
printing this is offset by additional cost savings on
plates and press set up, making digital label printing
ideal for shor t print runs and image changes such as
variable data.
At FineCal we use digital inkjet printing technology.
This deposits pigment on a wide variety of substrates
making it suitable for specialist label applications.We
currently are working in conjunction with 3M to test a
number of specialist materials and substrates.
Full colour printing
The digital UV Inkjet printer uses CMYK process inks.
This offers great full colour printing on a variety of
materials and technology to match most Pantone spot
colours.
No plate charges
Designs are sent straight from computer to the digital
printer eliminating the need for plates and costly set-up
charges. Generates substantial savings.
Shorter print runs
You may need samples printed for an exhibition or
want to experiment with a new product line, this is no
problem with our bureau service.
Greater versatility
Digital printing is ideal for shor t runs over various label
types which need to be over printed with different
contents.
Shorter lead times
As digital printing does not need plates and requires
little print set up, job turn around times are quicker
than conventional printing.
Variable Data
With digital printing we are able to print barcodes,
batch numbers and ‘best before’ dates.

Foil labels
Add that extra sparkle by choosing foil labels that give
you true reflective metallic qualities. Ensure impact as it
interplays with the lighting in such places as superstore
shelving. Foil printing gives a quality feel to your label
and is especially suitable for high end products such as
wines, spirits, cosmetics and chocolates.
Aesthetically pleasing we have a selection of patterns
and metallic colours as well as the standard gold
& silver.
Barcode labels
Vital encoded information including part / serial
numbers, supplier information, quantities, transaction
records and more all get captured clearly in sharp
barcodes printed by FineCal. From standard to thermal
labels, we reproduce exactly to your requirements.

Plain Labels
Besides our printed range, we produce plain labels
for both retail and industrial needs. Normally supplied
in matt white with a permanent adhesive for general
work requirements, we offer in addition bespoke labels
on other type materials with permanent or removable
adhesives.
Cover - all labels
Also referred to commonly as Blockout / Blackout
labels.
This offers a multi-purpose yet simple solution for
covering original prints or images, or existing labelling
where previous information has changed or contains
errors. Especially useful where previous self-adhesive
labels are difficult to remove, saving a large amount of
time. No plate charges are involved.
