Polypropylene Hand Strapping Extremely tough and strong semi-rigid plastic banding and strapping material in reel format. May be used to hold together and reinforce boxes, cartons and pallets. Hand strapping is available in 12mm and 15mm widths with the following breaking strains; Hand Strapping Tools and Dispensers It is impossible to fully utilise the strength of polypropylene strapping without using mechanical tools to apply tension and crimp on metal strap seals. To keep the strapping tidy and clean, and store tools and seals in one easily transported package a wheeled strapping dispenser may be used. Tensioner tools use a capstan and ratchet arrangement to wind in the strapping and apply as much tension as required with simple hand pressure. The tensioner locks the strapping taut while a metal seal is crimped on. Sealer tools use a pincer type action to squash and crimp a soft metal seal over the ends of the strapping, forming an almost unbreakable seal. The two functions may also be performed using one ‘Combination’ tool. Electric Combination Tool This simple tool is powered by a rechargeable plug-in battery pack that takes all the effort out of applying strapping bands. The strapping is wound to a preset tension by a powerful electric motor and then instantly sealed by a friction weld, removing the need for several tools and metal seals Plastic Buckles Strapping may be applied by hand tensioned and tied off quickly and simply using a plastic buckle.
