43 Cloth Tapes SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE ABRASIVES SINGLE SIDED TAPES PACKAGING ADHESIVES DOUBLE COATED TAPES Cloth Tapes All cloth tapes are strong and offer good conformability, they have non-corrosive adhesives keeping any reaction with the surface applied down to a minimum. Some cloth tapes will peel clean from surfaces, usually polycoated tapes perform better in this respect although surfaces should be tested if this is critical. Surfaces should also be as clean and dry with any loose material and dust removed as far as possible. Cloth tapes should be applied at between +10°C and +40°C Tapes should be stored at a temperature of no lower than +5°C. If tape is left in a van or unheated warehouse in the winter months, it will need time to warm up prior to application.
